Community Moderator

A volunteer who keeps a community chat or meetup welcoming, on-topic, and free of scams.

A community moderator is a trusted volunteer responsible for the day-to-day tone of a Malairte chat group, forum, or in-person meetup. Their job is not to police opinions but to remove obvious scams, redirect price-pumping posts, welcome newcomers, and answer the same beginner questions patiently every week. Good moderators document the community rules clearly, escalate edge cases to a small team rather than acting alone, and protect newcomers from impersonators in private messages. The role is unpaid and rotates well; burning out a single moderator is the most common reason small crypto communities go silent. Pair moderators so nobody carries the load alone.
