Issue Tracker

The public list where bugs, feature requests, and tasks for a project are recorded and discussed.

An issue tracker is the public list, usually hosted alongside the code, where a project records its bugs, feature requests, and outstanding tasks. Each entry, called an issue, is a small thread where the problem is described, discussed, and eventually resolved or closed. For the Malairte community the issue tracker is the front door for many contributions: you search it before reporting a bug to avoid duplicates, you pick up beginner-friendly issues to make your first contribution, and you watch it to understand what the project is working on. A well-kept issue tracker turns a chaotic pile of complaints into an organised, searchable to-do list that anyone can help work through.
