Scam Awareness
The practice of teaching newcomers to spot common cryptocurrency scams before they lose anything.
Scam awareness is a deliberate, repeated part of every Malairte community event. It covers the recurring patterns that target newcomers: doubling schemes, fake support staff in direct messages, urgent-action messages impersonating a known project member, recovery-phrase phishing, and fake giveaways. The most effective scam awareness sessions show real examples on screen, ask attendees what feels off about each one, and finish with a short list of rules: never share a seed phrase, never send coins to claim more, never trust a direct message from someone claiming to be support, and always check with a trusted community member before acting on urgent crypto messages. Awareness is more useful than warnings; pattern recognition sticks.
